Over the years we’ve come to rely on direct financial support from parents through the Laurelhurst Foundation to pay for PE, art, library, music, technology and K/1 teaching assistants at Laurelhurst. None of these important positions are fully funded by Portland Public Schools, and they would not exist without your help.

We’ve identified a $130,000 gap in funds for the 2011 – 2012 school year which in previous years has been generated by our annual Auction and Direct Appeals for giving. As of now, there is no Auction scheduled for this school year, so this Direct Appeal is more important than ever! Whatever you can give, every dollar will get us closer to safeguarding our vital enrichment programs.
